Floy Dyer Manor:

Floy Dyer Manor is a 66 bed nursing facility located in Houston, Mississippi, adjoining Trace Regional Hospital. It is Floy Dyer Manor's goal to serve the community by providing long-term care to those in need; giving your loved one the best possible guidance and help, physically, emotionally and spiritually; and by assuring the highest level of health care possible for each resident.

Admittance

In order to be admitted to Floy Dyer Manor, one must have admission orders from a physician on staff. The admitting physician is responsible for providing medical care to the resident after admission to the facility.

Services

A full range of services are provided. They include:

• Physician services
• 24-hour nursing care
• Rehab services-including speech, physical therapy and occupational therapy
• Assistance with personal needs (bathing, feeding, dressing, and grooming)
• Three meals per day plus dietary supplements (supervised by a dietary manager and consulting dietician)
• Housekeeping services
• A variety of activities including religious services, games, parties, and arts and crafts
• Laundry services at no extra charge

A hair stylist is in the facility at least one day a week for perms, cuts, and styles, etc. There is an extra charge to the resident for this service

Outpatient Services

Outpatient services can also be provided through Trace Regional Hospital or other area agencies. These services include:

• Laboratory tests
• Cardiopulmonary services
• Radiology services
• Physical and Occupational Therapy

Rooms

The facility consists of 34 private rooms and 16 semi private rooms. The private rooms are equipped with televisions. All rooms have telephone hook ups. All rooms have bathroom facilities.

Payment

Methods of payment accepted at the present time are private pay and Medicaid. Rates are subject to change with notice. Payments are due at the beginning of each month for the current month. A statement of charges will be mailed or given in advance to the resident or responsible party.

More and more, with the aging of the baby boomers, all generations are affected by long-term care, and all generations need to plan for those needs. Therefore, it is very important to know of good facilities.
